Prof. Vyacheslav Zobin graduated from the Novosibirsk State University, Novosibirsk, Russia, in 1966, and obtained his PhD in Physics and Mathematics (Volcanic Seismology) at the Institute of Physics of the Earth, Moscow, Russia, in 1978. From 1966 to 1996 he worked at the Institute of Volcanology, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia, and has since worked as Research Professor at the Center for Volcanological Research, Colima University, Colima, Mexico.
