Theodor Fontane (1819-1898) war ein bedeutender deutscher Schriftsteller, Journalist und Theaterkritiker, der vor allem für seine realistischen Romane bekannt ist. Er gilt als einer der wichtigsten Vertreter des poetischen Realismus und seine Werke, wie "Effi Briest" und "Der Stechlin", sind bis heute fester Bestandteil der deutschen Literatur.
