Tamer Basar is the Swanlund Endowed Chair, CAS Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and director of the Center for Advanced Study at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC), and Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), and a member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE).
