Samuel Carda-Broch was born in Villarreal (Castelló, Spain). He obtained his PhD from the University of Valencia in 1999 under the direction of Prof. García-Álvarez-Coque. After working in the pharmaceutical industry (Italfármaco, Madrid, Spain), in 2001 he moved to the Laboratoire des Sciences Analytiques at the University Claude Bernard in Lyon (France) for a post-doctorate stay under the supervision of Dr. Alain Berthod, granted by a Marie Curie fellowship.
