Né en Angleterre en 1977, diplômé d'Oxford, Nicholas Jubber est l'auteur de nombreux articles pour des journaux aussi prestigieux que The Guardian ou The Observer. Témoin du début de la seconde Intifada à Jérusalem, il décide de partir en voyage à travers le Proche-Orient et l'Afrique de l'Est. Sur les traces du Prêtre Jean (Noir sur Blanc, 2011), inspiré de ce premier voyage, a reçu le prix Dolman Travel Book. À la barbe des ayatollahs. Dans l'Iran et l'Afghanistan d'aujourd'hui a également été publié en français aux Éditions Noir sur Blanc (2012).
