László P. Kollár is Professor and vice-Head of the Department of Structural Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, in Hungary. He received his PhD and Habilitation from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and his Doctor of Sciences from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He was elected to the Academy in 2007, and to the Academia European in 2012, and has been a Visiting Professor in the departments of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and of Civil
