Juan A. Sánchez-Margallo graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Extremadura in Spain in 2007, and obtained a PhD in 2014 with European Mention within the field of Bioengineering from the same university. From 2015 to 2017 he did a postdoctoral specialization at the Medical Technology Department of SINTEF in Norway, and at the Department of Biomechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Delft in The Netherlands.
