Jakub Fichna is a pharmacist, pharmacologist and gastroenterologist, appointed Head of Department of Biochemistry at the Medical University of Lodz, Poland. He has co-authored more than 250 peer-reviewed publications and 8 book chapters, focusing principally on novel pharmacological targets for the treatment of functional and inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
