Bakenaz A. Zeidan is Professor of Dams and Water Resources at Tanta university, Egypt. She was the head of the water department from 2003 until 2012. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate civil engineering students; including courses related to water engineering, Nile water crisis, and numerical modeling. She has more than 40 international published papers covering Nile water conflict, groundwater quality modelling, and FEM simulation of seismic responses of dam-reservoir-foundation
