Allan Cho is the Asian Studies librarian at Koerner Library’s Humanities and Social Sciences division. His work also supports community engagement initiatives and cultural programming at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre at UBC Library. Allan also has MLIS and M.Ed degrees from the University of British Columbia, and an MA in History from the UBC History department where his thesis, “The Hong Kong Wuxia movie: identity and politics, 1966-1976,? focused on the rise of the Hong Kong swordplay films across the Chinese diaspora during turbulent period of the Cultural Revolution. He is also an instructor in the Department of Library & Information Technology at the University of Fraser Valley in British Columbia, Canada.
