Dr. Qian received her bachelor’s degree in public health, a Master’s in pathology, and her PhD in cell biology. Her areas of focus are biomechanics, mechanobiology, bone metabolism diseases, space biology, space biotechnology, and nuclear acid drugs research; and she has published more than 200 publications and invented more than 30 patents. Dr. Qian is the Associate Editor of Frontiers in Physiology, an Editorial Board Member of Endocrine, Metabolic & Immune Disorders - Drug Targets, Guest Editor of Seminars in Cell and Developmental Biology, and Guest Editor of Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology. She was awarded “New Century Outstanding Talents of the Ministry of Education?, “The 9th Shaanxi Youth Science and Technology Award?, “The 2nd Xi'an Young Science and Technology Talent Award?, and “Elsevier 2021 Most Cited Chinese Researchers?.
