Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Roland Lachmayer has been the Director of the Institute for Product Development (IPeG) since 2010. He is also the Managing Director of the Scientific Society for Product Development and serves on the Advisory Board "Future of Value Creation", and the Scientific Directorate of the Laser Centre Hannover. Lachmayer is involved in various funded research projects, including SFBs 653 and 1153, the research consortia GROTESK and AM2H2, the graduate schools Tailored Light and SAM, and the Excellence Cluster PhoenixD. His over 400 publications and over 30 patents address the research focuses of the IPeG: Modelling and Simulation in Design, Additive Manufacturing, Development of Optical Devices, and Data-Driven Design. The development of sustainable products is a cross-cutting issue at the institute.
Johanna Wurst is the Head of Department at the Institute for Product Development at Leibniz University Hannover. Key projects under her responsibility included the creation of the course "Sustainable Product Design - Development of Sustainable Products" and efforts to promote a holistic understanding of sustainability in science and teaching. Her research focuses on integrating ecological and economic evaluations to enhance eco-efficiency in organizations.
Jorin Thelemann is a research associate at the Institute for Product Development at Leibniz University Hannover. Current research activities include the development methodology of sustainable products, EcoDesign, and the design and usage of sustainability-oriented DfR strategies.
