Professor Jin focuses on a poly-generation technology based on coal gasification for hydrogen production, power generation and heat supply (Coal gasification in supercritical water), the harmless treatment and resource utilization of biomass and organic wastes, theory in multiphase flow in thermochemistry.He has published more than 130 paper with more than 3600 citations. 9 papers have been selected into ESI highly cited papers and 2 papers have been selected into hot papers. He also has public or authorized 27 patents. He worked as a visiting Ph.D. student (Oct. 2008~Sep. 2009) under the supervision of Prof. Jinhua Ye at National Institute for Materials Science in Tsukuba, Japan. He is an associate professor at the International Research Center for Renewable Energy, State Key Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering, and at the Department of New Energy Science and Engineering, School of Energy and Power Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University. His research interest is focused on the conversion and utilization of renewable energies, new energy materials, and photocatalysis. He published over 90 SCI-indexed papers in international journals with over 2300 citations and 6 ESI highly cited papers, and was granted over 10 China invention patents. He achieved the first prize in Science and Technology (issued by Shaanxi Province in 2017).
