The second section describes the pathologic physiology and pathogenesis of some acute cardiopulmonary diseases, such as acute injuries, systemic shock, acute pulmonary edema, pulmonary embolism, and other localized pulmonary diseases. The third section surveys numerous studies on the chronic pulmonary hypertension. This book is directed toward pulmonologists.
