Dr. Taib Iskandar bin Mohamad is currently an Associate Professor at Mechanical Engineering Department, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS,Malaysia. Previously he worked at Mechanical Engineering Technology Department, Yanbu Industrial College and was Head of Research Project Unit at Yanbu Research Center, in Saudi Arabia. Taib is part of Editorial Board for Yanbu Journal of Engineering and Science. Taib worked at the National University of Malaysia (UKM) as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering between 1996 and 2015. He was also the founding Deputy Head and an Associate Senior Fellow at the Centre for Automotive Research. Taib completed his Ph.D. at Cranfield University (2006), MEng at Vanderbilt University (1999) and BSME at University of Arizona University (1996).

His research interests lie in natural gas engines, direct fuel injection and engine component design. His secondary interest is solar thermal engineering, particularly in the development of a solar hot water system using polymer thermal absorbers. To date Taib has secured 7 funded research projects with about MYR3.2 million total funding Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. He has more than 100 technical publications in journals, book chapters/ book and conference proceedings. He is a regular reviewer for reputable journals in energy area – Energy Conversion and Management, Fuel, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Review, Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering, Proceedings of IMechE – Journal of Automobile Engineering, Applied Thermal Engineering and many more. Taib’s teaching specialties are Thermodynamics, Power Plant Engineering, Renewable energy systems. In 2010, Taib received an "Excellent Educator" Awards while in UKM. In the same year he led a team of students to win the Gasoline Alternative Category awards in the Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2010 with their LPG-converted engine with 479km/liter.

Ts. Dr. Ramani Kannan is Distinguished Associate Professor and Postgraduate Programme Leader in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia’s No.1 university. He served as Chair of the IEEE Power Electronics Society, Malaysia (2022–2024), and currently contributes as Member of the IEEE R10 Professional Activities and the Adhoc Committee on Industry Engagement and Round Table. With over 19 years in teaching and academic leadership and 18 years in research, Dr. Ramani is Recognized Expert in power electronics and renewable energy systems, Battery management system with machine learning. He holds a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering and earned his master’s and Ph.D. in electrical and electronics engineering from ANNA University, India. He is Chartered Engineer (CEng, UK), Senior Member of IEEE (USA), Member of IET (UK), Certified Professional Technologist (MBOT) and affiliated with BEM, ISTE, IE, and IAES.
