Prof. Dr. Máté Zöldy is a full professor at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), where he leads the Curricular Engineering program. He serves as the Scientific Chair of the International Conference on Cognitive Mobility and is co-founder of the interdisciplinary journal Cognitive Sustainability. He holds a doctoral degree awarded by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and is a guest professor at Shandong Jiaotong University in China.
With over two decades of experience in the automotive and oil industries, Prof. Zöldy has held senior positions at MOL Group, including Fuel Portfolio Manager and Head of Automotive Testing. His international engineering work includes collaborations with Ford, AVL, and Knorr-Bremse in Germany.
He earned his PhD in renewable fuel applications in combustion engines and holds a postgraduate degree in economics. His research spans sustainable fuels, autonomous vehicles, and cognitive systems in mobility.
Prof. Zöldy is Vice President of the GTE Vehicle Department, a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and a technical judge for Formula Student. His contributions have been recognized with multiple awards, including the 2017 Industrial Innovation Award, the 2022 Bánki Donát Prize, and the 2020 Vencel Csibi Mechanical Engineer Prize.
