Description
Preventable Medical Errors: The Role of Different Sciences in Medical Education and Practice addresses the issues of staying up to date with evolving medical practices, by providing practical examples linked to real-world patient safety concerns and illustrating theoretical discussions with clear clinical practice scenarios. The book is divided into two sections, Part 1 - How Did It Come To This? and Part 2 - Where Does It Go From Here?; which guide the reader through how we got here historically and how we can navigate our way out using the tools the author presents. Thus paving the way, bridging a gap between theory and practice, while emphasizing the importance of patient safety. Written for all medical professionals, at the forefront of postmodern and scientific medical advancements, to ultimately improve clinical outcomes and reduce preventable medical errors. - Provides the reader information to provide medical care that substantially reduces the risk for preventable medical error and consequent patient harm - Presents a new set of tools more realistic of human biology, extending sample-based clinical research to patient-centric rather than sample-centric outcomes - Allows the reader to create learning tools and situations resulting in more robust medical decision-making by physicians and clinicians
