Dr. C. M. Manjunatha is currently Chief Scientist and Head, Structural Integrity Division, CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore, India. He obtained his B.E. (NITK) in 1988, M.E. (IISc.) in 1991, and Ph.D. (Cambridge University, UK) in 1995. He was Post-Doctoral Fellow at Imperial College, London, UK, in 2008 and worked in the area of fatigue of nanocomposites. He has over 25 years of experience at NAL and specialized in mechanical testing and evaluation of aerospace materials, damage tolerance evaluation, full-scale static and fatigue tests, life extension of aging aircraft, polymer composites, nanocomposites, etc. He has over 200 publications to his credit in international journals and conferences. He is Founder Secretary of the Indian Structural Integrity Society (InSIS) and a member of various other professional societies.
Dr. Madhusudan A. Padmanabhan is currently Associate Technology Director (Airframe) at the Aeronautical Development Agency, Bangalore, India. He completed B.Tech. (IIT Madras) in 1993, M.S. (University of Maryland) in 1995, and Ph.D. (Duke University) in 2015. As a summer research intern (AFRL, Eglin AFB, Florida, 2012-14), he contributed to the simulation and flight test correlation of store induced Limit Cycle Oscillations in the F-16 aircraft. He has 30 years of experience in aeroelasticity, aeroservoelasticity, non-linear dynamics and landing gear dynamics with applications to the design, analysis and testing of indigenous fighter aircraft (LCA, AMCA, TEDBF). He has authored over 80 technical reports and 25 peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Arjun Dey is presently working as a scientist at U.R. Rao Satellite Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Bengaluru. He received the Ph.D. (2011) and M.Tech. (2007) in Materials Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, Howrah [Ph.D. and M.Tech. research works carried out at CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI), Kolkata]. The research work of Dr. Dey culminated about 130 in Peer-Reviewed SCI-indexed Journals including from Nature Group. He has co-authored 3 books entitled below from CRC Press/Taylor & Francis. He has already co-guided 3 Ph.D., 6 ongoing and 14 M.Tech. students. Dr. Dey served as an ‘associate editor’ of Transaction of Indian Ceramic Society.
M. Mohan Kumar is Senior Principal Scientist in the Structural Integrity Division at CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, Bengaluru. He graduated with a B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University followed by M.Tech. in Design Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. He has an experience of over 23 years in static & fatigue structural testing and evaluation of aircraft structures, fatigue life extension studies on military aircrafts and is presently working as In-charge of ground tests for structural certification of transport and military aircraft structures. His particular thrust areas include life extension of fighter aircrafts and its components, damage tolerance evaluation of aircraft structures, and basic research on fatigue & fracture studies on advanced composite and metallic materials. He has over 45 numbers of international journals and national/international conference papers and over 75 numbers of various technical reports and documents.
