Gianluca Rossi is Full Professor of Mechanical and Thermal Measurements at the University of Perugia. He is also a member of the teaching board of the PhD program Sciences, Technologies and Measurements for Space at the University of Padova. He serves as President of TUCEP, a non-profit association comprising 12 Italian universities, public institutions, and private companies. TUCEP focuses on technology transfer and the proposal, development and management of European-funded projects. From 2011 to 2012, he was Visiting Professor at the Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, Belgium. He actively collaborates with numerous universities in the United States, Brasil, and across Europe. His main research interests include the development of non-contact and full-field measurement techniques based on thermoelasticity for stress field analysis, on optical methods for displacement, motion and strain measurement. He also works on non-contact vibration measurements of turbine blades using stationary sensors and on the development of measurement techniques for multiphase flow analysis.
