Alfonso Montuori is Professor in the Transformative Inquiry Department at California Institute of Integral Studies, and founder of the Center for Creative Futures. Alfonso’s parents were Dutch and Italian, and he grew up multilingual living in the Netherlands, Lebanon, Greece, and England. He has taught at Central South University in Hunan, People’s Republic of China and was Distinguished Visiting Professor in the School of Fine Arts at Miami University, Ohio and the Department of Dynamic and Clinical Psychology at La Sapienza University of Rome. He is the author of several books and numerous articles on transdisciplinarity, the future, creativity, leadership, and complexity and the co-editor of World Futures: The Journal of New Paradigm Research. Alfonso lives in San Francisco with his wife, award-winning jazz singer Kitty Margolis, with whom he performs and records on saxophone.
