Dr. Jitendra Kumar Katiyar holds the position of associate professor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, Karnataka, India. He has 10 years of teaching and research experience. His research interest includes modern manufacturing techniques, tribology of carbon materials, polymer composites, self-lubricating polymers, lubrication tribology, and coatings for advanced technologies. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from UPTU Lucknow in 2007 with honours. He received his master’s from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2010 and his Ph.D. from the same institution in 2017. He is a life member of the Tribology Society of India, the Malaysian Society of Tribology, the Institute of Engineers, India, the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers; and was elected executive committee member of the Tribology Society of India for two years (2024–2025). Dr. Katiyar is also an editor and guest editor of multiple esteemed journals and publishers.

Dr. Ankit Sharma presently holds the position of Associate Director (Research) in the Center for Research, Impact, and Outcome (CRIO) at Chitkara University, Punjab, India. He received his doctorate in mechanical engineering from the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India. He has more than 10 years of experience in academics, research, consulting, training, and industry. Dr. Sharma is also the organizer and founder of the international conference-ICEMSMCI series 2023 and 2024—and serves as the general chair and convenor. He has authored numerous national and international publications in SCI, Scopus, and Web of Science-indexed journals.
