Rear Admiral Pradeep Rathnayake (Retd) is a maritime affairs expert drawing from 36 years of operational experience in the Sri Lanka Navy, culminating as Chief of Staff. His unique perspective stems from residing in an Indian Ocean Island nation, uniquely positioned amidst geopolitical power rivalries. Holding a Master's Degree in Maritime Policy and a MSc in Military Science and Security Studies, he combines practical insight with academic rigor. He has attended numerous international seminars.
