The textbook is conceptually divided into three sections, detailing the scientific basis, general clinical issues, and specific diseases diagnosed in clinical practice that are responsible for complaints of dizziness and imbalance. Individual chapters address benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, vestibular migraine, vestibular neuritis, stroke, and Ménière's disease. Additional chapters follow a syndrome-based approach and cover multiple conditions, including cerebellar disorders, bilateral vestibular failure, and psychological disorders.

Prof Adolfo M. Bronstein is a Consultant Neurologist at Imperial NHS and at the National Hospital Queen Square. He is Professor of Neuro-otology in the Department of Brain Sciences at Imperial College London. He is a regular speaker and session organiser at European and World neurological congresses. He is the founding member of the British Society of Neuro-otology (BSNO) and an ex president of the Neurosciences section of the Royal Society of Medicine. He has published 4 books on balance and dizziness, the most popular co-authored with Thomas Lempert, entitled “Dizziness, a practical approach to diagnosis and management” by Cambridge University Press.
