Dr. Lucas Kohnke is a senior lecturer in the Department of English Language Education at The Education University of Hong Kong. He holds a doctorate in Education from the University of Exeter, which explored educational technology in language teaching at the tertiary level, with a special focus on the professional development of English language teachers. He has taught English as a foreign and second language, and served as a teacher trainer for both pre- and in-service teachers in Sweden, China, Thailand, South Korea, the Sultanate of Oman, and Afghanistan.

Dr. Kohnke's main research interests lie in technology-supported teaching and learning and teacher professional development using emerging technologies. He has contributed over 60 articles to leading journals, including Computers and Education: Artificial Intelligence, Educational Technology & Society, Education and Information Technologies, ReCALL, SYSTEM, and RELC Journal. His diverse teaching areas span integrating technology into language classrooms, artificial intelligence in education, teacher training, and English language teaching methodologies.
