Jonathan Obert is Assistant Professor of Politics at Amherst College. He received his PhD from the University of Chicago in 2014 and is the author of The Six-Shooter State: Public and Private Violence in American Politics (forthcoming, Cambridge University Press).
Andrew Poe is Assistant Professor of Political Theory at Amherst College. Professor Poe received his PhD in Political Science of the University of California (San Diego) in 2010 and is currently completing a book titled The Release of Political Enthusiasm.
Austin Sarat is Associate Dean of the Faculty and William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Jurisprudence and Political Science at Amherst College. Professor Sarat is author or editor of more than 90 books, including Gruesome Spectacles (2014), Re-imagining To Kill a Mockingbird (2013), Mercy on Trial (2005), When the State Kills (2001), and Guns in Law (forthcoming, 2019).
